Prepare For Teeth Whitening

It’s fairly common to have anxiety when going to the dentist, that’s why we are excited to offer a professional teeth whitening service that is pretty much the opposite of the whole dental experience! In order to have the most comfortable experience and best results, there are a few things we recommend.

Don’t be nervous

Easier said than done, right? The Blend studio is definitely be more comfortable (and fun!) than a dentist’s office. During the service, you’ll be invited to watch whatever you want on Netflix (Selling Sunset and Love Is Blind are popular choices). Some people even doze off — it’s that relaxing. How cool is it that you can get a professional service while lounging in a comfy recliner?! Comfort factor: check!

Prepare the day of

Preferably, you’ve had a regular dental cleaning within the last six months to ensure the health of your teeth and gums. And while we normally suggest flossing daily, skip it on the day of your professional whitening service. Brush before your scheduled appointment as you normally would. Be sure you have eaten before your session, as you will not be able to eat during or for the hour after whitening.

…But what if you’re sensitive?

We are proud to use professional, dental-grade gel and supplies. If you’re concerned about sensitivity, let’s talk about it! We chose the system we did because I have sensitive teeth too (so I get it!). This system is sensitivity safe and enamel safe. 99% of our clients don’t feel a thing.

avoiding post-whitening sensitivity

We will go over aftercare at your appointment, but you can book the service knowing that aftercare is easy peasy! You’ll just want to be sure to drink a lot of water, and we’ll even get you started with iclandic spring water before you go.
